Edward Charles Lawton (Ted), Senior Bidjara Elder, community elder and member and my grandfather, passed away 30th Sep 2008 aged 80.
He was one of the very few gentlemen left in this world and led a truly amazing life and sadly another missing piece in the book of indigenous cultural knowledge has passed on….
He will be sadly missed by all who knew him and I am proud to be one of his many grand-daughters and also to be given by him, his clan name to use as my artistic name and totem .
